I met Elise and her beautiful family at the Dominion Arboretum in Ottawa, Ontario to get some updated family photos. Elise couldn’t get newborn photos of her son because he was born during the height of COVID. Elise is also the primary photo taker in the family (much like me!), so she wanted the opportunity to be in some photos with her son and hubby.
We had the most fantastic time, going with the flow of their inquisitive toddler. We looked for planes in the sky and discovered the moon. We took photos of his beloved triceratops toy, and he got a turn to use my camera. I always pace my sessions according to the kiddos. It’s important to me that they feel comfortable and have fun!
The arboretum is becoming more and more a favourite spot of mine to photograph at.
There is so much room for kids to run around and explore. I also love that I’m a hop-skip and a jump from the ornamental gardens.
